With Coachella behind us, festival season is in full swing. And that means festival wear 2015 is on trend right now. As always, high waisted cut-offs and bohemian are popular but 2015 brings back a 70’s influence. This season is all about lace and fringe.
Our model took a break from the music scene and wandered off for bit of reflection and relaxation. Her wardrobe mixes the staples with this years hottest on trend items. If you are looking for festival wear that you can use all summer long, cut off denim, cool sunglasses and gladiator sandals are must.
We started MINGO. when my daughter was around two years old and I could find any children’s clothing without a lot of prints on them. Caroline is from Sweden and she would often bring clothes from there for my daughter but she also had a hard time finding minimalistic children’s clothing. That’s when we started brainstorming.
Why did you chose to do unisex basics vs. designer kids wear?
We are really proud that our clothing is produced in Holland. This way we know for sure it’s made under good working conditions.
What sets MINGO. apart from other kids wear?
What sets us apart is that we are minimalistic, simple and functional. With each collection we design we always keep these three words in our mind. This is the base for Scandinavian design.
How do you dress your own children? Or do you let them decide?
I let my daughter choose what to wear herself. She is in a pink phase now so she is wearing all the dusty pink MINGO. items at the moment.
Do you see MINGO. expanding to North America? What is next?
We are starting to notice we are getting more and more orders from North America. We are available in Canada at The Minilife. But we would love to expand in North America.
For eight hours a day models can be seen on the runway or on set, cinched into skin tight clothes looking fabulous. We all know how amazing they look with a wardrobe and hair stylist on set, but what the model off duty? Sweatpants and t-shirts? Perhaps. Still stunning and head turning. You bet. This is our take on the off duty model and street wear featuring some of our favorite brands like Adidas, Ray-Ban and Vans. Who wouldn’t want to look ultra cool while being super comfy? If you want to see more models and their off duty look, here is a good place to start.
